I had to read this simply because it's about Elyce who is one of my all time favorite characters and this short-story is a great introduction to her. Having read the full novel of her this story (for me) is going back to the beginning of her journey, but illustrates how far she travels. I fell in love with Elyce as a character because there is something sweet and vulnerable about her. Loveable, and yet she doesn't believe that of herself. Which selfish movie-star Griffin who is our kinda-hero knows and takes advantage of. He enjoys her being a little bit sad and lonely and isolated because it makes her wait around for him. The author actually does a really good job writing Griffin. I love to hate him for his many faults, but I get into his head and enjoy the reading expeirence! Another great addition to the Pentagon Series.Product details

Another good Pentagon book although Elyce in the beginning isn't as strong as she should be she finally does become a stronger person after the realisation that Griffin isn't as good as he should be at a relationship with her.
After writing her feelings down it is in the makings to be a movie and who is offered the male role?
Only the man of her past can she shake off the demons and get on with her life?!

Elyce Fielding and Griffin Belanger have always had a connection. They met in college and became close friends with benefits. What happens when the friendship has moved past college and both want the relationship to go in different directions? You feel for Elyce and can totally understand her dilemma. Griffin comes across as selfish and self- absorbed and yet you know he loves her. Can he let Elyce go or will he forever hold her on a string? Is he ready for more? And if he is not, can he let someone else have her? Sometimes letting go is the only way to move forward and the only way to truly put yourself first. Once again Rosemary Rey has proved that she is an author to take seriously. Her style of writing is captivating and once you start you are totally consumed. Once you have finished “Before the End” continue on to read “Stained Glass Shards” to get your HEA. If you have not read the Pentagon Series I would highly recommend this series.
